Savor & Serve February Lovelights

Mar 3, 2012

Hello Miracle of You,

This morning my first thought was, “One day I won’t be here and I am going to miss having a body so much so let’s enjoy it now.” Those words don’t truly capture the pure animal joy that I immediately felt, a sudden simple freedom to be. I snuggled with Bob taking in the once -in-a-lifetime nature of feeling my body against his. It really is all once-in-a-lifetime, isn’t it? Including typing these words to you, reaching from my heart-mind to yours.

How do we honor that truth as tenderly and fiercely as possible without making it a self-improvement project? Through the body, my friend, by slowing down even a little, by letting go of all our plans and our striving, by saying yes to now.

Try it with me now. Hmmm…. This once in a lifetime moment… yes!

How does it feel? It doesn’t need to feel “good” or “big” or anything. Just notice.

My co-creator of TeachNow, Michele Christensen had her baby girl Mira. What joy! To celebrate Mira’s birth-coming, we are offering a Pay-What-You-Can version of TeachNow — in the next week or so. Want to know when and get in on it? Sign up here.

It’s Been a Year?!
Biggest takeaway of my year long experiment? Savoring & serving is about living what is real for you now. Because when you are belly-to-belly with what is real and truthful for you, you can’t help but be the change.

Finding Your Tribe
A crowd sourced post from my tribe about how to find your tribe anywhere.

The Ripple Revolution
Changing the world starts with living an energized life. The more energized you feel, the more fuel you have to set the positive in motion.

A Shero Stays Awake
Insights on my writing process including a cute moment with my dog Stuart.

I believe one of the best ways women can serve is be reclaiming their creative joy and that the shero’s journey is about the journey to regain your lost or devalued creative spirit. That’s why I want you to come to the Creative Joy retreat in June. Four days of joyful creative reclamation, expansion, and expression, along with lots of health creation (yoga! great food! nature!) and a smidgen of “How do three authors and entrepreneurs do what we do business and life wise?” talk. You will get what you need. Wouldn’t that be nice?

The WillPower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal
One of the singles best books I’ve ever read about how to change the habits that plague you. Simply brilliant. Buy it.

What would it feel like to love your life just as it is right now? No bargaining, no waiting, nothing to change.
